LaHave Shop

After 15 years at our Chester Basin location on the Gold River, Tern Boatworks expanded the business to a new area of Nova Scotia’s South Shore. The new Tern Boatworks boat shop broke ground in 2019 and has been a full service boat building shop since the end of 2020. It is located on the LaHave River in West LaHave, Nova Scotia, Canada. A mezzanine level was built to house tools and allows better access on to boats from height when working on big projects and the custom built 19ft bi-fold doors allow easy movement of boats coming and going from the site. The shop was thoughtfully designed with the idea of housing and working on long term projects of large vessels.

Offices on site include a library which houses a vast catalogue of boat building books and magazines for reference and this boat yard location has both indoor and outdoor storage available on site for clients to store their vessels as part of Tern’s unique Mooring to Mooring service. Future additions are in the works to keep up with the high demand for services that Tern provides.
